So, as a business owner you may be saying, “I can do anything a Bookkeeper can do, so why pay for the service?”

Well technically that is true. I can change a tire on my car but let’s be honest here, I am only going to do it as a last resort. It’s a hot and dirty job and will take me twice three times as long to even figure out how to get the jack out of that hidden compartment, than a roadside assistance guy who carries a hydraulic jack and an impact wrench.

So, think of a Bookkeeper as “Roadside Assistance” for your business.

Yes, you can do Bookkeeping for your business, but it will be a hot and dirty job, just kidding. Realistically though, you do need to understand the basics of your Bookkeeping but the day to day jobs can be handled much quicker and more efficiently by an experienced Bookkeeper with all the right tools.

Follow my  7-part series as it answers the age-old question of “What does a Bookkeeper really do?” to find out exactly what a Bookkeeper can do for your business.
